These scammers call from many different numbers, but they always say they called because of a special American Express travel offer (later, Amex said they did not authorize the call). I'm retired, so when I'm not busy, I like to waste the caller's time by keeping them on the phone as long as possible. After they finish reading a very long script, they asked for my credit card information. That's when I ask them why they are calling a number on the Do-Not-Call registry. The last time they called, the guy said he was in Cancun and they use a dialing service to make the initial call, then it gets transferred to a phone outside of the United States when you press "1". He said you can press "2" to be put on their do-not-call list, but they keep calling anyway. If they keep calling me, I'll keep wasting their time and then file a complaint with the FTC.
